Jesse Dayton, a Beaumont, Texas native, has carved a unique 30-year career blending Texas/Louisiana blues, old-school country, and punk rock.

Discovered as a teenager by Austin club owner Clifford Antone, Dayton’s distinctive style set him apart from others emulating Stevie Ray Vaughan.

He has played with legends like Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, toured with punk bands like Social Distortion, and released 11 albums.

Dayton’s latest, Mixtape Volume 1, reinterprets 10 cover songs in his signature style, blending influences from folk, rock, country, and punk.

Known for his versatility, Dayton has also written songs for films, directed the horror movie Zombex, and stays active politically.

Despite his success, he remains grounded, based in Austin, with ongoing projects, including a memoir and continued collaborations.
