Here at The Duck, we consider every day one worth celebrating – but as an Irish-inspired pub that’s called Houston home for decades, St. Patrick’s Day holds an extra-special spot in our Irish-loving hearts.
McGonigel’s Mucky Duck is hosting our 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Thursday, March 17, 2022, complete with live Irish music, our signature menu of traditional Irish foods, and traditional pints of Guinness Stout, Harp Lager, and Smithwick’s Irish ale. You can join us in person, or, if you are not ready to venture out you will be able to enjoy our virtual Irish experience via our Livestream video feed. Wherever you are, please join us to raise a glass and celebrate the Feast of St. Patrick.
Our St. Patrick’s Day Event Details
If you’ve ever been to our Houston venue and restaurant, then you know that music is a part of our heart and soul. The Duck is famous for being a favorite performance destination for a fabulous variety of talented artists, and there are generations of Houstonians that have made it a tradition to come here for a show, a good meal, and a pint or two. There will be no green beer because as most of you already know, Irish beer is black not green.
So of course, our upcoming St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will feature a lineup of live music performances that you won’t want to miss. Here are the folks that will be putting on a stellar show for you:
Ulla
Piper Jones
Clandestine
Earl Grey in the Morning
Ed Miller and Rich Brotherton

Even though you will not be here “in person” you will be able to view the inside shows because we will livestream the inside shows on our YouTube channel. https://bit.ly/subscribeduckyoutube
Rain or Shine
We will not be able to have a tent this year…and that’s pretty scary for us. We cannot promise refunds if it rains. These are strange and difficult times and we have no way to make this work if we have to worry about rain. We are praying for good weather and ask that you please do the same. To make this work, we need to be in this together, so if it rains, well, we all get soaked.
A Note about Safety Precautions
When you’re here at The Duck, you’re a part of the family – and that means that your health and safety is always going to be a top priority for us. We’re planning to follow the latest recommendations from state experts, and our team will be staying on top of any suggested updates to safety protocols and the like.
In the past two years of this strange and bumpy ride, we’ve all learned to expect the unexpected. And even more than that, the importance of coming together has never been clearer. We’re looking forward to hosting one of the most beloved St. Patrick’s Day events Houston has ever known… However, we also know that things aren’t as they were just a few short years ago, so we’re asking that everyone in The Duck’s extended family be as understanding and patient as possible. We’ll make sure to keep you updated if we’re forced to make any last-minute changes to our St. Patrick’s Day event. But with any luck, we can all enjoy a fantastic day and night of great music, delicious food and drinks, and each other’s company.
